Sac TRU BBQ & Postcard Writing Party

Sac TRU Members spent our Saturday meeting discussing the recent heatwave and how it has affected transit riders and RT staff. We watched the Fox 40 video on the condition of broken AC on the light-rail cars and members expressed their feelings that RT should provide safe work environments for its workers and thus safe travel options for its passengers.

Sac TRU members then sent their concerns and thoughts to RT Board members in postcards and emails. We'll keep tracking the condition of our public transit system this summer and develop a letter to the Board and staff for the upcoming Board Meeting on July 24, 2017.
